Whether it is an exchange program, faculty-led program, or study\/work abroad program, the Office of International Education \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.oie.gatech.edu\u0022\u003Ewww.oie.gatech.edu\u003C\/a\u003E, offers Tech students a variety of ways to travel abroad while earning their Georgia Tech degree. As an added bonus, students enrolled in a study abroad program can use their institutional financial aid for studying abroad, and most programs offer in-state tuition for ALL students (plus $250 flat fee for non-resident students). Plus, there are many scholarships available for students who are studying abroad.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EApplication deadlines for summer 2010, fall 2010, and academic year (AY) 2010-2011 study abroad programs are coming up fast and differ slightly by program. Below is a summary of program application deadlines.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EJanuary 25, 2010:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nCopenhagen, Denmark: Copenhagen Exchange Program for AY\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nTokyo, Japan: Tokyo Tech Exchange Program for AY\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EFebruary 1, 2010:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nLondon, England: LSE Exchange Program for AY\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nTokyo, Japan: Waseda Exchange Program for AY\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMarch 20, 2010:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nMetz, France: GT-Lorraine Undergraduate Program for fall\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EFebruary 15, 2010*:\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nAll other summer, fall and AY programs.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E*The Office of International Education will be closed on Monday, February 15, 2010. Therefore, we will continue to accept application materials on Tuesday, February 16 for all programs with a deadline of February 15. Students are highly recommended to apply early.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EPlease also note that students receiving financial aid who are planning to study abroad during the summer term will need to complete a summer financial aid application available on the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid Web site \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.finaid.gatech.edu\/summer\u0022\u003Ewww.finaid.gatech.edu\/summer\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003Cbr \/\u003E\r\nScholarships can also help students offset the cost of studying abroad.
