Application Deadlines for Study Abroad Programs and Scholarships

Rebecca Miller
Program Manager, Office of International Education

Georgia Tech Study Abroad Programs span every continent and every academic discipline. Whether it is an exchange program, faculty-led program, or study/work abroad program, the Office of International Education www.oie.gatech.edu, offers Tech students a variety of ways to travel abroad while earning their Georgia Tech degree. As an added bonus, students enrolled in a study abroad program can use their institutional financial aid for studying abroad, and most programs offer in-state tuition for ALL students (plus $250 flat fee for non-resident students). Plus, there are many scholarships available for students who are studying abroad.

Application deadlines for summer 2010, fall 2010, and academic year (AY) 2010-2011 study abroad programs are coming up fast and differ slightly by program. Below is a summary of program application deadlines.

Please also note that students receiving financial aid who are planning to study abroad during the summer term will need to complete a summer financial aid application available on the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid Web site www.finaid.gatech.edu/summer.
Scholarships can also help students offset the cost of studying abroad. Visit our Web site for more information on study abroad scholarships.
