115231 news 1331215703 1475896308 Michael Elliott has been appointed to the National Research Council’s Committee on Inherently Safer Chemical Processes. Elliott is an associate professor jointly appointed in the School of Public Policy and the College of Architecture School of City and Regional Planning.  The committee is examining approaches used by chemical manufacturing facilities for the management of chemical process risks, especially in the use of particularly hazardous chemicals, and in the potential for replacing risky processes with inherently safer ones.
