137831 news 1340704672 1475896346 <![CDATA[Home Park Break-in Results in Shooting]]> Earlier this morning, Georgia Tech Police Department and Atlanta Police Department responded to a home invasion call in the Home Park neighborhood, during which an intruder was shot by one of the residents. The intruder, identified as a Georgia Tech student, is being treated at Grady Hospital and is in stable condition. GTPD is cooperating with APD, who are handling the investigation.

In response to increased criminal activity over the weekend, both GTPD and APD have increased uniformed patrol officer visibility in the area.

In addition, you can help GTPD and the community fight crime. Don’t look the other way or ignore suspicious activity. If you see something that prompts concern, say something and notify GTPD immediately, either by calling 404-894-2500 or by emailing crimetips@police.gatech.edu.
