We have developed a robot systems that automatically performs patch clamping in vivo demonstrating good yield, throughput and quality of automated recordings in mouse cortex and hippocampus.\u003Cstrong\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003EJames Kratzer - Advisor, Eric Gaucher, PhD\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u0022Reengineering a Human-like Uricase for the Treatment of Gout\u0022\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003Cbr \/\u003E\u003C\/strong\u003EWe are reengineering a \u201chuman-like\u201d uricase to safely and efficiently alleviate gouty arthritis. This research addresses the unmet medical need in the enzymatic management of gout by developing a uricase better tolerated by patients.
