Through my networking and the personal relations that I have fostered via my work at the WRC, I have experienced aspects of Georgia Tech life that I would not have otherwise. However, I have also realized that there is still a profound need for progression here at Georgia Tech. Whether it is educating students on sexual harassment awareness, LGBTQA (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Queer and Ally) issues, the diversity of Georgia Tech and our community, equality within the workplace, etc, there are many opportunities for progress. The Georgia Tech Women’s Resource Center does a great job with realizing this and partners with other organizations and departments to foster a safer, more inclusive, and equal environment for women at Georgia Tech and in the community.

Stephen Webber is a 4th year student from McDonough, Georgia.
