"A microfluidic approach for live single-cell mitochondrial ROS imaging"

Reactive oxygen species (ROS) have critical roles in many cellular processes. Although most investigations of ROS measure global averages in the cell, ROS can be produced in distinct locations and have effects locally. Using a microfluidic platform for live single-cell imaging, mitochondrial ROS production can be monitored in both space and time in T cells. Using this systems biology approach, variability can be seen within a population.
