  <title><![CDATA[Make It Unfair: How Technology Is Changing The Way Sports Are Played]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The Sports, Society, and Technology program presents a lecture by Sam Strickling, entitlted, "Make It Unfair: How Technology Is Changing The Way Sports Are Played." &nbsp;Mr. Strickling's lecture will introduce students to the field of sports science and explain how engineers can work in the sports science field.</p><p>Mr. Strickling is the Academic Research Marketing Manager at the National Instruments. &nbsp;He is also a former Division-One Athlete Track &amp; Field and Football from Baylor University. &nbsp;At Baylor, he earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering with minors in Mathematics and Business Entrepreneurship.</p><p>His current research focuses on how technology is used in universities. &nbsp;At the National Instruments, he has built more than 10 sports science capstone design projects, including some that involve current Georgia Tech students.</p><p>&nbsp;<strong>The event is free and open to the public, and reservations are not required.</strong></p>]]></body>
