The expo, sponsored by Microsoft Research\u0027s FUSE Labs, asked participants to consider the role of social media in informal and continued learning.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003ELodato, along with four other collaborators\u2014Amelia Acker (UCLA), Matt Burton (U. of Michigan), Melissa Chalmers (U. of Michigan), and Grant Wythoff (Princeton), with faculty advisor Cory Knobel (UC Irvine)\u2014won the competition with their proposal for AmpDamp, a\u0026nbsp;knob peripheral\u0026nbsp;to allow rapid filtering of social media streams for contextual learning.
