The first two appear in \u003Cem\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.press.umich.edu\/345788\/taking_it_to_the_bridge\u0022\u003ETaking it to the Bridge: Music as Performance\u003C\/a\u003E\u003C\/em\u003E, just published by the University of Michigan Press: \u0022Jazz Improvisation as a Social Arrangement\u0022 and an afterword to the collection titled \u0022Music as Performance: The Disciplinary Dilemma Revisited.\u0022\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EA third essay, \u0022Sound and Vision: The Audio\/Visual Economy of Musical Performance,\u0022 will appear in \u003Cem\u003E\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/global.oup.com\/academic\/product\/the-oxford-handbook-of-new-audiovisual-aesthetics-9780199733866?cc=us\u0026amp;lang=en\u0026amp;tab=toc\u0022\u003EThe Oxford Handbook of New Audiovisual Aesthetics\u003C\/a\u003E,\u003C\/em\u003E to be published in August by Oxford University Press.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EGerman radio producer Michael R\u00fcsenberg interviewed Auslander concerning jazz improvisation while on a Spring 2013 visit to Atlanta.
