Hang Lu, professor and James R. Fair Faculty Fellow in the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, has been elected as a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE).Lu's research is at the interface of engineering and biology. She engineers BioMEMS (Bio Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) and microfluidic devices to address questions in neuroscience, cell biology, and biotechnology that are difficult to answer using conventional techniques. In 2014, she was elected a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
