The organization seeks to facilitate research and collaboration to increase published literature on the EU, encourage links for transatlantic cooperation, and hold conferences, workshops, and panels. \u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp class=\u0022im\u0022\u003EAs chair, Young will lead the seven-member Executive Committee in promoting the study of the European Union in the U.S., advancing the association, and organizing the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/eustudies.org\/conference\u0022\u003Eassociation conference\u003C\/a\u003E in Miami in 2017. He has served as vice-chair of the committee since 2013.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EAlasdair Young is Associate Professor and Jean Monnet Chair in The Sam Nunn School of International Affairs at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and is co-director of the Center for European and Transatlantic Studies.\u0026nbsp; He is vice-chair of the European Union Studies Association (2013-15).
