  <title><![CDATA[Stamps Scholarship National Convention]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>This weekend, close to 500 outstanding students from across the nation are converging on the Georgia Tech campus for the third&nbsp;Biennial Stamps Scholars National Convention.</p><p>And to think, this is where it all started.</p><p>In 2006, Georgia Tech alumnus&nbsp;E. Roe Stamps (IE&nbsp;1967; MS&nbsp;1972) and his wife, Penny (B.A. University of Michigan), created a multi-year, merit-based scholarship program for a handful of undergraduates at their respective alma maters, where their name already graced a number of buildings and programs.</p><p>Nowadays, the couple’s Stamps Family Charitable Foundation supports approximately 590 Stamps Scholars at 43&nbsp;colleges and universities nationwide.</p><h6>Read more about Stamps Scholars and the Biennial National Convention:</h6><p><strong><a href="http://www.news.gatech.edu/features/stamps-scholarship-national-convention-georgia-tech">Bringing the Vision Back Where it Started.</a></strong></p>]]></body>
