Prizes are awarded to the top poster and oral presentation from each college. The symposium is sponsored by GT\u0027s\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.undergradresearch.gatech.edu\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EUndergraduate Research Opportunities Program\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;(UROP).\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAt this year\u0027s symposium, Nunn School graduating senior Ms. Shaudie Fassih received the award for the best oral presentation from the Ivan Allen College. Fassih presented her independent research on \u0022\u003Cem\u003EEmerging Threat of ISIS: \u0026nbsp;Insurgency Strategies\u003C\/em\u003E.\u0022 Mentored by Assistant Professor\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/inta.gatech.edu\/people\/faculty\/margaret-e-kosal\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003EMargaret E. Kosal\u003C\/a\u003E, Ms. Fassih investigated four factors (motivation, strategy, geography, and capability) in order to assess the threat of ISIS.
