408911 news 1433151390 1475896705 <![CDATA[RBI/Georgia Tech Attend Cellulosic Nanomaterials Workshop in Washington]]> Georgia Tech and the Renewable Bioproducts Institute were well represented at “Cellulosic Nanomaterials:  A Path To Commercialization”, a workshop co-sponsored by the US Forest Service and the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) in Washington DC from May 20-21.  Adjunct professor Robert Moon spoke, and Norman Marsolan and associate professor Meisha Shofner were in attendance at the two-day event.

Mr. Robert Knotts, Director of Federal Relations at Georgia Tech participated, and Professor Bernard Keppelin exhibited a poster of his work on solar panels from renewable biomaterials.  The workshop featured panel presentations and break-out discussions on potential applications, market needs, barriers to commercialization, and research opportunities.  The proceedings are expected out in about a month.
