415301 news 1434457301 1475896717 <![CDATA[Public Policy Featured at PMRA National Conference]]> Faculty, students, and alumni of the School of Public Policy represented Georgia Tech at the recent Public Management Research Association's national conference held June 10 - 13, 2015. The Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota hosted the conference. 

Gordon Kingsley presented Developing Communities of Practice to Improve Knowledge Transfer and Performance as part of a panel on trust and distrust in collaborations. The research paper is co-authored with his colleagues Juan Rogers, Janelle Knox-Hayes, and Eric Boyer, a former Public Policy Postdoctorate Fellow who currently serves on the faculty at the University of Texas El Paso.

Juan Rogers delivered his paper, Identifying the Influence of Public Participation in Public-Private Partnerships, for the panel on public participation in governance. His co-authors on the paper are Eric Boyer (presenter) and David Van Slyke, Syracuse University. 

Kim Isett and Gordon Kingsley shared their experiences as successful principal investigators on the panel discussing external funding strategies — tips and opportunities.

Current Ph.D. students Rebekah St. Clair and Elie Sung participated in the Doctoral Student Research Workshop.

The program also featured several public policy doctoral alumni, including Shena Ashley (Syracuse University), Leisha DeHart-Davis (University of North Carolina), Lewis Faulk (American University), Lauren Hamilton Edwards (University of Maryland-Baltimore County), and Kelechi Uzechukwu (University of Baltimore).
