The purpose of the materials informatics workshop is to provide practical knowledge in using these techniques to efficiently leverage large datasets from simulations and experimental characterization involving materials microstructure.

In addition, this workshop aims to provide hands on experience with the latest tools in cyberinfrastructure to accelerate collaborations in materials development. The workshop will focus on introducing participants to a set of open source tools in Python called PyMKS that address the computation and use of spatial statistics for materials informatics, and Github based e-collaboration tools.

The techniques covered in the workshop are especially relevant to many of the challenges associated with the Materials Genome Initiative. The workshop will allow participants to significantly augment their existing workflow involving data sharing, exploration, and mining of large sets of parameters and material configurations.

mailto:info@materials.gatech.edu">info@materials.gatech.edu
