Fellows from Georgia Tech’s Sam Nunn Security Program (SNSP) spent March 20 - 24 in Washington, D.C. meeting with representatives from Congress, the Department of Defense, the National Security Council, the FBI, the State Department, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the intelligence community, industry, and non-governmental organizations working at the intersection of science, technology, security, and policy.
Led by Margaret Kosal, an associate professor in Ivan Allen College Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, the SNSP Fellows learned about policy challenges surrounding issues such as cybersecurity, autonomous lethal robots, and biotechnologically-enabled threats. In addition, they attended talks that emphasized strategies for professional networking and personal branding.
