{"52621":{"#nid":"52621","#data":{"type":"event","title":"DHS Data \u0026 Visual Analytics Fellowships Deadline","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EThe Southeast Regional Visual Analytics Center \u2013 \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/srvac.uncc.edu\/\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003Ehttp:\/\/srvac.uncc.edu\/\u003C\/a\u003E \u2013 a partnership between Georgia Tech and UNC Charlotte \u2013 is accepting applications for four Data Analysis and Visual Analytics PhD Fellowships \u2013 two at UNC Charlotte, and two at Georgia Tech.  Both universities have significant research programs in these areas, in which fellowship holders will be active participants.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Fellowships provide 2 \u00bd academic years of support with a stipend of $2300 per month; payment of tuition and fees; and a $1500 per year for three years travel allowance to attend relevant conferences.  After the fellowship period, students will be supported as Graduate Research Assistants while finishing their Ph.D.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EFellowship holders will have two summer internships at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory or other laboratories conducting relevant research.  They will have the opportunity to spend a semester at their partner school \u2013 either UNC Charlotte or Georgia Tech \u2013 to be able to take courses not available at their home school and to interact with the many faculty and graduate students at their partner school.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe fellowships are provided by a grant from the US Department of Homeland Security, and are available to US Citizens.
