  <title><![CDATA[Gender Equity Champion Awards Nomination Period Open]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>When you think of gender equity champions at Georgia Tech, is there a particular faculty or staff member, student, or unit that comes to mind? If so, take a moment to nominate that individual or unit for the <a href="http://www.diversity.gatech.edu/2016-gender-equity-champion-awards">Gender Equity Champion Awards</a>.</p><p>“This year’s Diversity Symposium theme is ‘Celebrating Women at Georgia Tech,’ and during the Diversity Symposium, awards will be given to members of the campus community who are advancing gender equity and empowerment at the Institute,” said Archie Ervin, vice president of Institute Diversity.</p><p>In light of this year’s theme, members of the faculty, staff, and student body, and a unit (e.g. office, department, school, or lab) who significantly demonstrate gender diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Georgia Tech community will be recognized at the 2016 Diversity Symposium Awards Luncheon on September 16 at the Georgia Tech Hotel Ballroom. &nbsp;</p><p>Nominations will be accepted until May 23, 2016.
