  <title><![CDATA[GT to Host North American Society for Sport History Conference]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>The North American Society for Sport History (NASSH) will hold its annual convention at the Georgia Tech&nbsp;Hotel and Conference Center&nbsp;in Atlanta Georgia,&nbsp;from&nbsp;May 27-May 30, 2016.&nbsp;Georgia Tech’s Sports, Society, and Technology program, the School of History and Sociology, and the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts&nbsp;are hosting the event. The&nbsp;meeting in Atlanta will be the&nbsp;44th&nbsp;annual convention&nbsp;for NASSH, an organization that encourages and promotes&nbsp;the study, research, and writing of the history of sport. The&nbsp;2016&nbsp;conference will feature&nbsp;an opening reception,&nbsp;numerous scholarly&nbsp;sessions, two keynote addresses, as well as a closing banquet.&nbsp;We are also pleased to announce two special events: A pre-conference workshop co-hosted by SST and NASSH, “<a class="Hyperlink SCX163481951" href="http://pwp.gatech.edu/sst/doing-sport-history/">Doing Sport History in the Digital Present</a>” which will be held on the campus of Georgia Tech, May 25-26.
