Lawler Award for Humanitarian Contributions within Computer Science and Informatics by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the organization announced March 30.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EAbowd serves as interim director of the Health Systems Institute, a joint Georgia Tech\/Emory University research institute investigating the impact of technologies on healthcare delivery.
