In his previous appointments, he served as Secretary of the Hungarian Embassy in Hanoi, Vietnam; Secretary of Cultural Affairs in the Hungarian Embassy in Washington D.C.; and Ambassador of Hungary both in Paris, France (1994 to 1999) and in London, United Kingdom (2002 to 2006). In addition to his prestigious assignments abroad, Ambassador Szombati\u0027s professional resume includes the posts of Foreign Policy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Hungary, Deputy Head of the State Secretariat for European Integration, and Head of Strategic Planning and Information Management Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
