This newly created position requires the individual to have distinguished themselves among their peers within a specific profession, field or discipline. Bowen, who has a half century of construction industry experience, retired in 2000 as the president of Hanscomb Inc., an international construction consulting firm with 40 offices worldwide. \n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ESince his retirement, Bowen has taught at the College of Architecture as an Executive in Residence, lecturing on the construction industry and its history.
