  <title><![CDATA[LMC chair Richard Utz delivered a keynote address on "The Return to Medievalism and the Future of Medieval Studies"]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p class="p1"><span class="s1">LMC chair <a href="http://www.iac.gatech.edu/people/faculty/utz">Richard Utz</a> delivered a keynote address on &quot;The Return to Medievalism and the Future of Medieval Studies,&quot; at the annual meeting of German-speaking university professors of English (Anglistentag) at the University of Hamburg, Germany, on September 23, 2016.&nbsp;</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The keynote was accompanied by a series of four conference sections, all negotiating various aspects of &quot;Engaging with the Past: Reinventing the Middle Ages, organized by Eva von Contzen (University of Freiburg, Germany), Annette Kern-St&auml;hler, and Nicole Nyffenegger (University of Berne, Switzerland). &nbsp;</span></p>

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">Richard Utz serves as a chair and professor in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication at the Georgia Institute of Technology, is a scholar of medievalism studies, and currently serves as President of the International Society for the Study of Medievalism and editor of its review journal, Medievally Speaking, and Proceedings, The Year&rsquo;s Work in Medievalism.</span></p>
