The Y Afterschool Program is an academic, STEM/STEAM and sports based afterschool programs. It focuses on giving youth a fun and safe place to learn, socialize and explore after school hours for ages 5-13 years old.

The Arthur M. Blank Family and Youth YMCA is seeking volunteers for the afterschool program for the 2016 - 2017 school year.  Available slots are Monday - Friday from 3:00pm- 6:00pm.  Volunteers must commit to a minimum of one day or three hours per week for a minimum of six weeks.  Basic STEM/STEAM knowledge and tutoring skills in general academic subjects (math, reading, writing, science, social studies, etc.) will be required.

Volunteers will assist in leading STEM/STEAM and sports activities and they will also work in small groups tutoring students.  A volunteer orientation will be held before starting the position.  

The YMCA is located at  555 Luckie Street Atlanta, GA 30313, which is short walk from Georgia Tech.
