Teachers follow the New Horizons\u0026rsquo; Curriculum guides within the methodology of SIOP (Sheltered Instruction for Learners of Other Languages),\u0026nbsp;which places considerable emphasis on the teaching and learning of academic vocabulary as well as lesson content. There is intensive use of technology in all classrooms,\u0026nbsp;and students all have either a tablet (pre-school -\u0026nbsp;6th\u0026nbsp;grade)\u0026nbsp;or\u0026nbsp;personal laptops\u0026nbsp;(grades 7-12). Many textbooks are digital, and homework,\u0026nbsp;extra material and most\u0026nbsp;assessments\u0026nbsp;are accomplished\u0026nbsp;using the platform\u0026nbsp;Moodle. New Horizons has developed its own\u0026nbsp;communication and grading system software to use\u0026nbsp;with parents and students.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003Cstrong\u003ETeaching Assistant\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003E\u0026nbsp;(TA)\u0026nbsp;in English Language, Math, Science or Social Sciences\u003C\/strong\u003E\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026nbsp;A teacher\u0026rsquo;s assistant\u0026nbsp;will\u0026nbsp;aid the classroom instructor while learning\u0026nbsp;classroom management techniques and acquiring lesson planning skills.
