Milton Stewart School of Industrial \u0026amp; Systems Engineering (ISyE) at Georgia Tech, and is one of three new faculty hires for the School who began in January 2017.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EMaguluri\u0026#39;s research interests are in the broad area of optimization and performance analysis of various stochastic systems, with a particular focus on scheduling and resource allocation problems for data centers, cloud computing, and communication networks. His research spans and uses tools and techniques from queuing theory, stochastic networks, control theory, game theory, stochastic processes, and optimization.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EHe received his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering in 2014 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prior to that, he earned two master\u0026rsquo;s degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign \u0026ndash; one in applied mathematics (2014) and one in electrical and computer engineering (2011). In 2008, he earned his B. Tech. degree in electrical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBefore joining Georgia Tech, Maguluri was a research staff member in the Mathematical Sciences Department at the IBM T. J.
