Bras has named a search committee to launch an\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.provost.gatech.edu\/dean-engineering\u0022\u003Einternational search\u003C\/a\u003E for a new dean of the College of Engineering.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe 15-member search advisory committee is comprised of faculty and staff, as well as the current undergraduate and graduate student body presidents. The committee will be chaired by Julia Kubanek, associate dean for Research, College of Sciences; professor of Biological Sciences; and professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Jennifer Herazy, associate provost for Operations, will serve as search director.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe new dean of the college must continue and accelerate the College\u0026rsquo;s pursuit of scholarship and excellence,\u0026rdquo; said Bras. \u0026ldquo;The critical work of the search committee will include identification and vetting of candidates that can bring the energy and intellectual leadership that will be required for that accelerated effort. I appreciate the committee\u0026rsquo;s dedication to the process as we identify the College\u0026rsquo;s next leader.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAn External Advisors Group is being formed to help guide the search process.
