<p>Title: <strong>Rationality and the Market</strong>
</p>
<p>Marco Castillo received his BSc in Economics from the Catholic University in Lima, Peru, and he received his PhD in agricultural and applied economics from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His research interests include experimental economics, bargaining, development economics, social capital and economics of religion. Most recently, he was visiting adjunct professor at Georgia State University and prior to that he was lecturer at the University of Newcastle. Recipient of the Best Dissertation Award at the University of Wisconsin, Professor Castillo has also received the Mellon Foundation's David Granick Award (1998) as well as a Ford Foundation Fellowship (1995-1996). His publications include, among others, "What Do Bargainers' Preferences Look Like? Exploring a Convex Ultimatum Game," American Economic Review, 2003, 93 (3): 672-685 and "The Role of Husbands and Wives in Farm Technology Choice," American Journal of Agricultural Economics 1997, 72 (2): 583-88.
