Presenter: Casey Bethel
Casey Bethel is the 2017 Georgia Teacher of the Year, as well as a passionate educator, accomplished scientist and mentor to students of all ages. Prior to teaching, he earned a Master’s degree in Plant Genetics and conducted experimental research at the Center for Applied Genetic Technologies. 
 
Casey helps coordinate K12 Outreach activities for local schools through The Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) and the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) at Georgia Tech. He offers his insight to connect students with the relevance of their education and inspire higher student engagement and achievement.


Workshop Location
The workshop will be held in the Centergy Building (9th floor, conference room 9104) at 75th Street NW, Atlanta, GA 30308. Parking will be validated only when you park in the Centergy parking deck.

About Explorers' Guild
This is a free monthly workshop during the school year where educators can experiment with tools and technologies, exchange experiences, and learn from each other. The Explorers' Guild is sponsored by STEM@GTRI, a collaboration of Georgia Tech researchers working with government and industry to support technology-enabled learning in K-12 settings across Georgia.
