Young’s Book Published by Agenda Publishing

Alasdair Young, professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs, had his book titled, The New Politics of Trade: Lessons from TTIP published by Agenda Publishing.

Trade policy has become highly controversial in Europe and the US. The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations were the focal point of controversy in Europe.

In his book, Alasdair Young explores the complexities of the TTIP negotiations and analyzes why concluding an agreement proved so difficult. The book considers what lessons can be learned for future trade negotiations, including those in prospect between the United Kingdom and the European Union.

Alasdair Young is the co-director of the Center for European and Transatlantic Studies, a Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His current research focuses on new politics of trade policy and compliance with international law.
