His research has been funded by the National Science Foundation, by the Federal Highway Administration, and by the General Services Administration. His current work deals with development and assessment of wood-based structural materials and on the development of bio-based and synthetic fiber reinforced composites. Dr. Gentry is an Associate Editor for the \u003Cem\u003EASCE Journal of Composites for Construction\u003C\/em\u003E and is a member of American Concrete Institute and Transportation Research Board Committees on composite materials.\u003C\/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003EDr. Gentry received his undergraduate and Master\u0027s degrees in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech and Ph.D in structures from the University of Michigan. Forums are free and open to the public and participants are invited to explore ideas and identify opportunities for collaboration.\u0026nbsp; All talks are held in the Architecture Library from 11 a.m. to noon on the last Thursday of August through April.
