{"604710":{"#nid":"604710","#data":{"type":"news","title":"Share Your Story for Mental Health Awareness","body":[{"value":"\u003Cp\u003EIf you or someone you know has struggled with mental health issues, an upcoming campus event offers a chance to share your story.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Suicide and Mental Health Committee of \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/health.gatech.edu\/stamps-health-services-ambassadors\u0022\u003EStamps Health Services Ambassadors\u003C\/a\u003E will have its first event April 17 and 19 on Tech Walkway.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/2120635911544267\u0022\u003EShare Your Story\u003C\/a\u003E event is designed to raise campus awareness of mental health issues by sharing the stories of those who have dealt with these issues. Submissions will \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdWbNHZ3IaW2gdEHqHFYBduzfTy5716gUHnSFn_bI0kp2uMUg\/viewform\u0022\u003Ebe collected online\u003C\/a\u003E through Thursday, April 5.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EAt the event, a display board will share the stories, which are submitted anonymously. There will also be a positive thoughts jar where students can draw a thought \u0026mdash; written by the event organizers with their fellow students in mind \u0026mdash; for a little motivation before heading into finals.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0026ldquo;The goal of the event is to build a sense of community and understanding. We want people to know they are not alone,\u0026rdquo; said Ann-Marie Sills, a second-year international affairs and modern languages major and chair of the event\u0026rsquo;s organizing committee.
