Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience (\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.ibb.gatech.edu\u0022\u003EIBB\u003C\/a\u003E), hosted its annual Buzz on Biotechnology High School Open House.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOpen to all Atlanta area high school students, parents and teachers, this year\u0026#39;s event drew a record 400+ attendees from 56 different schools. Visitors came to engage in a wide variety of hands-on, innovative science and engineering demonstrations such as \u0026quot;Edible Cells,\u0026quot; \u0026quot;Virtual Stomach Surgery,\u0026quot; \u0026quot;Acids and Bases,\u0026quot; \u0026quot;Electromyography Recordings of Muscles,\u0026quot; \u0026quot;Protein Folding.\u0026quot; They were able to tour the state-of-the-art laboratories of IBB such as neuroengineering, robotics, atomic force microscopy and biomedical engineering labs.
