  <title><![CDATA[Spooky Season in Atlanta]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>As Halloween approaches, get in the spirit by checking out some of the festive events happening around campus and beyond.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.calendar.gatech.edu/event/612873">Third Annual Pumpkin Ramble</a></h3>

<p>First-year students in the School of Industrial Design will design and carve pumpkins in the third annual Pumpkin Ramble on Thursday, Oct. 25. But these pumpkins won&#39;t be ghouls &mdash; they will be works of art inspired by famous designers.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/2008941465793021/">Halloween Holla 5K</a></h3>

<p>The Campus Recreation Center (CRC) will host the annual Halloween Holla 5K Run &amp; Walk on Wednesday, Oct. 31 (postponed from Oct. 26). Wear your favorite Halloween costume for a chance to win prizes. Students interested in participating can <a href="https://crc.gatech.edu/halloweenholla">register online</a> in advance or the morning of the race in the CRC lobby. Registration ends at 7:15 a.m. on race day.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/473681173117117/">Haunted Heights &ndash; Halloween at Ponce</a></h3>

<p>On Oct. 27, Skyline Park at Ponce City Market will host a special event featuring food, games, and spooky prizes. For ticket information, visit the <a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/haunted-heights-at-skyline-park-tickets-49863875193">event website</a>.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.stonemountainpark.com/Events/Pumpkin-Festival">Pumpkin Festival at Stone Mountain</a></h3>

<p>Through Oct. 28, Stone Mountain will feature Halloween and fall-themed park attractions, games, shows, and more. Wear a Halloween costume for a $10 discount. Visit the park&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.stonemountainpark.com/Events/Pumpkin-Festival">website</a> for more information.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/324953888260634/?event_time_id=330877994334890">Fox Theatre Ghost Tours</a></h3>

<p>The 6th Annual Fox Theatre Ghost Tours will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, through Tuesday, Oct. 30. See the Fox Theatre transform into a creepy, ghostly venue. Each tour is an hour and features stories from Mr. and Mrs. Fox, who will be joined by other characters from the Fox&rsquo;s past. <h3><a href="https://www.facebook.com/GTSCPC/">Student Center Programs Council (SCPC) presents Halloween Havoc</a></h3>

<p>From Oct. 28&ndash;31, SCPC will host Halloween movies, pumpkin carving, and games. Visit SCPC&rsquo;s <a href="https://www.facebook.com/GTSCPC/">Facebook page</a> for details.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.calendar.gatech.edu/event/613133">Tech Rec Halloween Special</a></h3>

<p>On Oct. 31, Tech Rec will offer a free game of bowling to students in costume. The special deal will be offered all day, so stop by between classes or for a study break.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.calendar.gatech.edu/event/613192">Howey Physics Halloween Pumpkin Smash</a></h3>

<p>Wear a costime, smash a pumpkin, and buy something from a bake sale hosted by physcis students on Oct. 31.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.calendar.gatech.edu/event/612761">History Con 2018</a></h3>

<p>On Oct. 31, the History and Sociology Club will host Georgia Tech&#39;s third&nbsp;annual history-themed costume party. The event will be held in the Old Civil Engineering Building courtyard from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Students are encouraged to come in costume. There will be free food and drinks, as well as prizes for the best costumes.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/337773116769315/">International Coffee Hour &ndash; Halloween Edition</a></h3>

<p>All students are invited to attend International Coffee Hour from 11 a.m. to noon on Oct. 31 in the Student Center Peachtree Room. The event will include a costume contest, special treats, and an opportunity to learn about Halloween traditions from around the world.</p>

<h3><a href="https://www.calendar.gatech.edu/event/612737">Pumpkin Composting</a></h3>

<p>Once Halloween is over, help make the most of carved jack-o-lanterns by volunteering with MOVE to compost pumpkins. Volunteers are needed both Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 on West and East campus.</p>
