614405 news 1542646891 1542648287 <![CDATA[Public Policy Alumna Wins First Place in National Criminal Procedure Tournament]]> Congratulations to Public Policy alumna Lauren Renaud who won first place in the 30th National Criminal Procedure (Moot Court) Tournament in San Diego, California. 

Renaud and her partner Elijah Staggers, representing Georgetown University Law Center, beat 41 other teams from various prestigious law schools at the competitive tournament, which took place from November 16 - 18. 

Renaud graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology School of Public Policy. As a public policy undergraduate, Renaud got an early start in her career after interning with the U.S. Department of Justice through the Georgia Tech D.C. Internship Program.

Renaud continues to intern at the U.S. Department of Justice. She also serves as president of the National Security Law Society and managing editor of the Journal of National Security Law and Policy.

The School of Public Policy is a unit of Georgia Tech's  Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.
