  <title><![CDATA[Public Policy Alumna Wins First Place in National Criminal Procedure Tournament]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>Congratulations to Public Policy alumna Lauren Renaud who won first place in the 30th National Criminal Procedure (Moot Court) Tournament in San Diego, California.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Renaud and her partner Elijah Staggers, representing Georgetown University Law Center,&nbsp;beat&nbsp;41 other teams from various prestigious law schools at the competitive tournament, which took place from November 16 - 18.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Renaud graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science from&nbsp;the Georgia Institute of Technology&nbsp;<a href="https://spp.gatech.edu/">School of Public Policy</a>. As a public policy&nbsp;undergraduate, Renaud got an <a href="https://www.iac.gatech.edu/students/undergraduate/undergraduate-profiles/lauren-renaud">early start in her career</a> after interning with the U.S. Department of Justice through the Georgia Tech D.C. Internship Program.</p>

<p>Renaud continues to intern at the U.S. Department of Justice. She also serves as president of the National Security Law Society and&nbsp;managing editor of the Journal of National Security Law and Policy.</p>

<p>The School of Public Policy is a unit&nbsp;of Georgia Tech&#39;s&nbsp; Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts.&nbsp;</p>
