Join the Campus Recreation Team this Summer!

Do you enjoy flexible schedules? Are you passionate about the healthy jacket lifestyle? Then working at the Campus Recreation Complex (CRC) is perfect for you! The CRC is currently hiring for summer positions, but the application closes soon on March 22! If you are interested in anything from lifeguarding to working as a graphic design assistant, then there is a place for you at the CRC. We talked to current CRC employees to find out what they love most about their jobs.

C’lee Kornegay, a first-year civil engineering major, and current member services assistant loves working at the CRC because “it is a great way to make money and get involved with the Georgia Tech community. The CRC is really passionate about improving the healthy jackets lifestyle so I think it is a great way to get involved with that.” Kornegay enjoys working as a Member Services Assistant, as she likes answering people’s questions and selling guest passes. Design Assistant, Karina Patricia, enjoys working at the CRC because “you get to apply skills that you learn in the classroom and see how they translate into real life work.” Nicole Kajzer, a second-year Business major and CRC Marketing Assistant said that working at the CRC was “a way of getting my foot in the door. The CRC provides many useful job experiences while making money on campus.”

When asked how students balance school and work, the overwhelming response was that the CRC is flexible. Kornegay says, “you obviously have to put work first, but while working at the desk, there is some downtime which I can use to work on homework.” Kajzer says, “the CRC is super flexible when it comes to creating my work schedule, and I’ve never had an issue with getting work off or rearranging my schedule for the week.” The CRC knows that being a student comes first and they are very flexible with schedules. Kajzer even believes that “sometimes, it feels like work is just one of my other classes, but without the homework!”
