The journal\u0026#39;s\u0026nbsp;editorial board is comprised of top scholars in the field of comparative democratization studies.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn their article, Muchlinski and Birch evaluate the success of different electoral violence prevention (EVP) strategies in reforming electoral institutions and enabling\u0026nbsp;them to maintain\u0026nbsp;peace during the electoral period. This article assesses the effectiveness of two common types of international EVP activity:\u0026nbsp;capacity-building strategies and\u0026nbsp;attitude-transforming strategies.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe article finds evidence that capacity-building strategies reduce violence by non-state actors, whereas attitude-transforming strategies are associated with a reduction in violence by state actors and their allies.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EIn addition to \u003Cem\u003EDemocratization,\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/em\u003EMuchlinski\u0026#39;s research has been published in multiple academic journals including\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EPolitical Analysis\u003C\/em\u003E,\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003ETerrorism and Political Violence,\u003C\/em\u003E\u0026nbsp;and\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EPolitics and Religion\u003C\/em\u003E.
