The CIMS-Green Building certification is the second green cleaning certification that Georgia Tech has earned in recent years. The first certification was Green Seal’s GS-42 standard for commercial and institutional cleaning. The ISSA certification further affirms Georgia Tech’s commitment to environmentally friendly cleaning practices throughout its classroom and research buildings.   

Specified measurement tools, a client feedback cycle and a continuous improvement model are all parts of the Georgia Tech program that allow evolving practices to be integrated seamlessly into daily operations.  The CIMS and CIMS-GB certifications require that independent, accredited assessors verify the methods that each firm utilizes to meet quality, service, health, safety and environmental benchmarks.
