Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors in and around Atlanta.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Ch4\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EOutdoor Recreation Adventure Trips\u003C\/strong\u003E\u003C\/h4\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOutdoor Recreation at Georgia Tech is dedicated to giving students exciting outdoor experiences. Adventure Trips are either single-day or overnight excursions designed to let students explore a variety of activities, including backpacking, caving, and kayaking. Trips start as early as May 25 and run until July 31, and are open to both beginners and those at the intermediate level. With Tech Treks, students can adventure through Alaska, Montana, or the Southeast. Some trails, such as the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/beltline.org\/\u0022\u003EBeltline\u003C\/a\u003E and Proctor Creek Greenway, are only a few miles from campus. Others are located in neighboring counties and suburbs, including the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area, the Silver Comet Trail, and \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.atlantatrails.com\/hiking-trails\/roswell-mill-vickery-creek-trail\/\u0022\u003EVickery Creek Trail\u003C\/a\u003E at the Roswell Mill. While many state parks have their own trails, they also provide a wide variety of activities, from archery to picnicking. Some of the closest parks to the city include Sweetwater Creek State Park and Panola Mountain State Park. There\u0026rsquo;s also \u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/arabiaalliance.org\/educate\/history\/\u0022\u003EArabia Mountain National Heritage Area\u003C\/a\u003E, which, while not a state park, is still only about half an hour from campus and offers many of the same activities as the other sites. Several are connected to larger parks, including the local \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.stonemountainpark.com\/Camping-and-Lodging\u0022\u003EStone Mountain Park\u003C\/a\u003E and \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/gastateparks.org\/SweetwaterCreek\u0022\u003ESweetwater Creek\u003C\/a\u003E campgrounds. A couple hours north of the city, the Blue Ridge area boasts camping spots with mountain views, including those at \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/gastateparks.org\/Vogel\u0022\u003EVogel State Park\u003C\/a\u003E in Blairsville.
