This is the second time that Smith has received the award from the peer reviewed journal. In 2009, he won the Journal\u0026#39;s Best Article Award for his article, \u0026ldquo;It\u0026#39;s Really Not My Country: Lew Alcindor and the Revolt of the Black Athlete.\u0026rdquo;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EThe\u0026nbsp;\u003Cem\u003EJournal of Sport History\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/em\u003Eis the official publication of the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.nassh.org\/NASSH\/index.php\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003ENorth American Society for Sport History\u003C\/a\u003E\u0026nbsp;(NASSH). Published by the University of Illinois Press, the journal seeks to promote the study of all aspects of the history of sport.
