Each month a member of the Georgia Tech community will share his\/her favorite element via video.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EJune\u0026rsquo;s edition features Benjamin Breer, a\u0026nbsp; double major in physics and aerospace engineering who just completed his first year at Georgia Tech.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBreer is also an undergraduate researcher in the\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/svensimon.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003EMagnetospheres in the Outer Solar System\u003C\/a\u003E research lab, led by\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022http:\/\/www.eas.gatech.edu\/people\/simon-dr-sven\u0022\u003ESven Simon\u003C\/a\u003E, an associate professor in the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.eas.gatech.edu\/\u0022\u003ESchool of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBreer\u0026rsquo;s favorite element is hydrogen, the most abundant elements in the universe. \u0026ldquo;It\u0026rsquo;s as if you\u0026rsquo;re walking in a mall,\u0026quot; Breer says in the video,\u0026nbsp;\u0026quot;and every single person you see is a hydrogen atom.\u0026quot;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBreer also cites research that may point to a sea of hydrogen under the surface of Jupiter \u0026ndash; an ocean\u0026rsquo;s worth of the element that is under so much pressure, it takes a liquid metallic form.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EBreer graduated from the \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/www.gcpsk12.org\/GSMST\u0022\u003EGwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology\u003C\/a\u003E, in Lawrenceville, Georgia.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003ERenay San Miguel, communications officer in the College of Sciences, produced and edited the videos in this series.\u0026nbsp;\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EOther videos in this series are available at\u0026nbsp;\u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/periodictable.gatech.edu\u0022\u003Ehttps:\/\/periodictable.gatech.edu\/\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/p\u003E\r\n\r\n\u003Cp\u003EMay 2019, \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/cos.gatech.edu\/hg\/item\/621856\u0022\u003EG.
