622564 news 1560864536 1560880443 <![CDATA[Yadav Wins Top Student Design Prize at IMS]]> Pradyot Yadav won first place in the Student Design Competition at the 2019 International Microwave Symposium (IMS), held June 4-6 in Boston, Massachusetts. Yadav received the award in the category of RF Power Amplifier Design. 

A rising sophomore majoring in electrical engineering, Yadav has been working as an undergraduate researcher during his first year at Georgia Tech. His advisor is J. Stevenson Kenney, a professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Yadov’s design was similar to power amplifiers used in transmitters for cellular base stations.

IMS is the flagship conference of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society with 8,000 attendees from around the world. It is particularly notable that Yadov was competing for this award against seniors and graduate students from top institutions in the field.
