Stronger Chinese Yuan Won't Cure Trade Gap

"Our trade deficit problem is an American problem; it's not a Chinese problem," said Fei-ling Wang, Professor in the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs who studies international political economics.

Global Atlanta reported Wang's comments made during a recent China Town Hall event hosted by the World Affairs Council of Atlanta. The article stated that U.S. politicians say that a stronger yuan would give Chinese consumers more buying power that they could use on U.S. goods, contributing to a "rebalancing" that will eventually free the global economy from its reliance on American consumers for growth. It's not that simple Dr. Wang said. Follow link below to read more.
