  <title><![CDATA[LAMP Seminar on Law, Justice, and Religious Identity in America]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p><strong>Join LAMP on September 26, 2019,&nbsp;for a half-day seminar on Law, Justice, and Religious Identity in America.</strong>&nbsp;This event is free and open to the public and will feature&nbsp;a keynote address by Judge Halim Dhanidina, entitled &quot;Keeping the faith: What secular law has taught me about religion.&quot;</p>

<p>Dhanidina is an associate justice for the Second District of the California Court of Appeal, the first South Asian American to serve as an appellate justice in the State of California, and the first Muslim appellate level judge in the US. Lunch will be served at 12:30 PM, followed at 2:00 by the keynote and a panel of responses from religious and civic leaders in Georgia.</p>

<p>During lunch and the closing reception at 4:00, guests will view the exhibit &quot;Refuge or Refusal: Turning Points in US Immigration History,&quot; from the Museum of History and Holocaust Education at Kennesaw State University.</p>

<p>The panelists include Rabbi Dr. Shlomo Pill of Emory University&#39;s School of Law,&nbsp; Adina Langer of the Museum of History and Holocaust Education at Kennesaw State&nbsp;University,&nbsp;Kevin Sinha of Civic Georgia,&nbsp;and Nelly Wambui of Emory&#39;s Graduate Division of Religion.</p>

<p>Paid parking is available at Georgia Tech&#39;s Visitor Parking Lot 1, 200 North Avenue NW, Atlanta, GA 30313. LAMP is a collaboration between Candler School of Theology at Emory University and the Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts at Georgia Tech.&nbsp;</p>
