Refreshments will be served, please \u003Ca href=\u0022https:\/\/spreadsheets.google.com\/viewform?hl=en\u0026amp;formkey=dFNVT2ZFZDYzMWItMFRyY1hIT3JnWGc6MQ#gid=0\u0022\u003ERSVP\u003C\/a\u003E.\u003C\/strong\u003E\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EDr.Claudia Hillinger, Vice President for Institute Development of the Max Planck Florida Institute and President of the Max Planck Florida Foundation, will present an overview of the world-renowned Max Planck Society and the rationale behind the development of the Society\u2019s first institute outside of Europe. She will bring the audience up-to-date on the status of the facility on the MacArthur Campus of the Florida Atlantic University Campus in Jupiter, Florida, as well as the focus of the Institute\u2019s research, collaboration with the research community, and commitment to economic and educational development in Florida and across the country.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EBIO\u003Cbr \/\u003E\nCurrently, Dr. Hillinger serves on the board of directors for the Florida Research Consortium, BioFlorida, and the Quantum House. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of Florida Atlantic University\u2019s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, a member of the Advisor Board of Professional Science Masters Program, and member of the Rotary Club of Palm Beach.\n\u003C\/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EPreviously, Dr. Hillinger headed the Central Scientific Laboratories and Technical Facilities for the Max Planck Institute of Biogeochemistry in Jena, Germany, as research coordinator, focusing on climate change, earth system sciences and biodiversity.
