Despite a tough economy and tight\njob market, 94 percent of Georgia Tech\u0027s full-time MBA Class of 2010 had\naccepted full-time employment within 90 days of graduation \u2013 compared to 84\npercent within that window in 2009. \u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\n\n\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cem\u003EBloomberg BusinessWeek \u003C\/em\u003Ereported that while MBA recruitment started to improve\nsomewhat in 2010 at the nation\u0027s top 30 business schools, job placement figures\nhaven\u0027t reached their pre-financial crisis level. Salaries and signing bonuses\nalso tend to be down at most schools.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\n\n\u003Cp\u003EThe average\nstarting salary for 2010 Tech MBA graduates was $86,481 (an increase of $1,702\nover 2009), compared to $94,981 for those joining companies with national MBA\nrecruiting programs. Sixty percent of graduates received signing bonuses\naveraging $12,621, a slight increase over 2009.\u003C\/p\u003E\n\n\n\n\u003Cp\u003E\u0022Our\nstudents\u2019 success is a testimony to their resilience and mental and emotional\ntoughness,\u0022 says Jim Kranzusch, director of Georgia Tech\u0027s Jones MBA\nCareer Center. \u0022They just would not give up.
