Boost Your School Spirit with Homecoming Events

Homecoming is just around the corner at Georgia Tech. As the Jackets prepare to face off against the University of Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday, Nov. 2, the week leading up to the game is jam-packed with events, friendly competition, and Georgia Tech traditions. This year, the Homecoming theme is Jousting Jackets, reminiscent of the medieval period.

Some of the Student Center Programs Council (SCPC)’s events, including the campuswide scavenger hunt and Mr. and Ms. Georgia Tech nominations, required advance team registration (read the 2019 Homecoming Rules Book for a list of all team events). While that registration period is now closed, there are still plenty of events open to all students.

McCartney will be preceded by three student openers: Akiraa, Par., and Kento. Gates open at 7 p.m., and the first opening act will go on at 7:30. Tickets are free, though they must be reserved in advance through University Tickets.

As always, Homecoming will end with the big game itself. After two consecutive away games and a bye week, the Jackets will be coming home to Bobby Dodd as they play on their own field for the first time since Oct. 5. At halftime, the winners of the Mr. and Ms. Georgia Tech competition will be announced, along with the winners of various team competitions. Come out and support the Jackets as they seek to notch their second ACC win of the season, and enjoy all of the extra excitement that only a Homecoming game can bring.
