  <title><![CDATA[CATEA Looking for Volunteers]]></title>
  <body><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;</p><p>CATEA is seeking numerous volunteers who want to participate in our research projects. You can even get paid to do it! Just browse through the short projects descriptions below, and use the contact information to get the ball rolling.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Product Packaging Study</strong><br /><br />Each year, students in Dr. Stephen Sprigle's Human Centered Design class learn about the process of designing items in daily life.&nbsp; The course focuses on the design process in relation to the human body, aging, disabilities, and environments.&nbsp; This is a hands-on course, involving students in all aspects of the design process through a semester long design project. <br /><br />This year, the students are evaluating the acceptability of different types of product packaging.&nbsp; They ask that you assist them by completing a short survey.&nbsp; The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.&nbsp; If you are interested in completing this survey, please&nbsp; <a href="&lt;a%20href=&quot;http://edu.surveygizmo.com/s3/878553/Tuna-Packaging&quot;&gt;">click this link</a>.<br /><br />If you have any questions, comments or issues with this survey please feel free to contact the students at:<a href="mailto:tunapackagingsurvey@gmail.com"> tunapackagingsurvey@gmail.com</a><br /><br /><strong>Information Kiosks</strong></p><p>For a research study to evaluate an&nbsp; information kiosk prototype&nbsp; in the Georgia Tech College of Architecture (CoA) library. You will get a $20 stipend for a whole session.<br />In order to participate, you: <br />-CANNOT have previously used the CoA library<br />-AND need to have arthritis, or use a wheelchair<br />-AND need to be at least 18 years old<br /><br />Participation time is approximately one and a half hours. Please contact&nbsp;<a href="mailto:tinalee@gatech.edu"> Tina Lee</a> 404.831.1212 or tinalee@gatech.edu.</p><p><strong>Voting Machines</strong></p><p>The Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access (CATEA) at Georgia Tech is investigating how peoples’ experiences with electronic voting machines affect participation in the voting process among individuals with disabilities.
